Fall Fun: Santa Barbara & Montecito Halloween Round-Up

Halloween is one of The Easter Team’s favorite times of year, and we’ve gathered a list of festive happenings around Santa Barbara, Montecito, and beyond. From pumpkin patches to spooky movie nights, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this October.

Lane Farms Pumpkin Patch – Santa Barbara

When: Sept 27 – Oct 31
Hours: Mon–Fri 12–7 PM; Sat–Sun 10 AM–7 PM (Oct 31: 12–5 PM)
Cost: Free admission (pumpkins available for purchase)

A longtime local favorite, Lane Farms offers hayrides, a corn maze, farm animals, and plenty of pumpkins to pick.

Solvang Farmer’s Pumpkin Patch – Santa Ynez Valley

When: Sept 26 – Nov 2, 10 AM–6 PM
Cost: Free admission

Head up the valley for one of the region’s largest pumpkin patches. With a 14-acre corn maze and endless gourds, it’s a fall tradition for many families.

Spooky Movie Nights – Paseo Nuevo, Downtown Santa Barbara

When: Every Friday in October, 6:30 PM

Free Halloween classics screen on the rooftop of the Paseo Nuevo South parking garage:

  • Oct 4: Casper

  • Oct 11: Haunted Mansion

  • Oct 18: Beetlejuice

  • Oct 25: Hocus Pocus

Boo at the Zoo – Santa Barbara Zoo

When: Oct 17–19 & Oct 24–26, 5–8 PM

The Santa Barbara Zoo transforms for evenings of trick-or-treating, train rides, hay bale mazes, and more. Always a hit with kids (and adults who love the atmosphere).

Fields of Funk – Elings Park, Santa Barbara

When: Sat, Oct 25, 12–10 PM

Elings Park goes all out with this Halloween music festival featuring live acts, DJs, art installations, food trucks, and a silent disco—all set against one of Santa Barbara’s most scenic backdrops.

Bonus Fall Fun: Wine Tours During Harvest Season – Santa Ynez Valley

When: Through Oct 31, 10 AM–4:30 PM
Cost: Approx. $195 per person

Not everything has to be spooky! Fall in Santa Barbara County is also harvest season in wine country. These all-day tours include tastings at local wineries, lunch, and a knowledgeable guide.
