Angels Foster Care Luncheon
Last Friday, the Easter Team had the honor of attending the Angels Foster Care luncheon held at the Biltmore Hotel in Santa Barbara. Since 2006, Angels Foster Care has changed the way foster care is provided to abused, abandoned, and neglected babies and toddlers. Angles works year-round to find stable and loving foster families to help. Their model of care is different from traditional foster care because Angels families may take one only placement, must have a full-time parent, and commit to keeping their child throughout the time they are in foster care, a process that takes approximately 18 months. With the support of their Angels family, each child learns to attach, bond, and love during a critical period in development. From Carpinteria to Arroyo Grande, Angels Foster Care has placed over 200 children with Angels families and supported their care until each child was either reunified with their biological family or adopted (often by their Angels family). Proceeds from the luncheon will fund Angel's parent training and certification, as well as supporting and placing children in loving Angel homes.
